It pays to stay the course!
by Diamond ambassadors, Joel and Ileen Brown

A friend introduced us to E. Excel and he was extremely excited about the possibilities that it presented. We read the two sheets of paper he had on Nutritional Immunology and E. Excel International, and because we felt so good about what Dr. Jau-Fei Chen had put together, we knew it would be big and successful and that meant we would be big and successful. Ileen and I immediately signed up and went to work. We wrote down what we wanted out of life, outlined our goals and then started putting our ideas into action.

In less than a month, we saw results and we started making a lot of money—for ourselves and for our friend! He was happy with how things were going but he was also very busy with his appraisal business. He faltered on building his E. Excel business. He listened to people who said there wasn’t a future. They said there were “too many things working against it and he was wasting his time.” Our friend fell victim to all the old excuses that people use when the going gets rough. He quit after about eight months—the same time that our business really started to cook.

It’s imperative to keep after your dreams and your goals and continue taking action on your ideas. We did that and our friend chose not to. We would see him from time to time and he would ask about E. Excel, he would even specifically ask how much money we were making. When we told him how much we were bringing in he was fine because he was still making more in his business. Then over time, we started making more and he changed his tune saying, “Boy, I should have kept going with E. Excel.” Our friend was excited for us but also felt bad that he quit.

One of the last times we saw him, he had the same old questions, but before we could answer he said, “Wait, I don’t want to know—it will just make me feel bad that I quit.”

Over the years, we have met many others who have done the same thing; quit and had regrets. We all have opportunities but success depends on what we do with them.

The only way you loose is by doing nothing, so don’t just quit and then feel bad, keep identifying what you want and take action on your ideas. Just do it!
