After seven years of working as a research scientist specializing in anti-cancer drug development for Toronto’s Princess Margaret Hospital, in 2005 Jade Master, Dr. Hugo Zhang finally called it quits on his career as a researcher; however, his dreams and goals are still very much alive. He had spent his entire professional life trying to find a cure for cancer only to come to the conclusion that there is no sure-fire cure. Dr. Zhang now finds himself directing his efforts toward, “a new science in health studies,” which he believes to be the foundation for optimum health through prevention rather than cure—the key word being prevention.
“When tumors are detected in patients,” Dr. Zhang says candidly, “it is often too late. And that’s when I realized that prevention is vital and necessary. Conventional medical research results, in a series of treatments that have side effects and weaken our immune system. However, after learning about and researching Nutritional Immunology, I am convinced that by nourishing our immune system properly, we can remain healthy.”
In truth, Dr. Zhang’s own health has improved significantly because of Nutritional Immunology. “I was diagnosed with a serious health problem a few years ago, mostly due to high stress levels and poor diet,” Dr. Zhang explains. “At that time, the doctors suggested that I need to undergo surgery, but I was against it.” For one thing, Dr. Zhang knew very well the consequences of the surgery. Moreover, he did not want to suffer from the required medication’s side effects. 
“When Diamond Ambassador, Dr. Yaping Guo introduced me to E. Excel and I began to understand the science of Nutritional Immunology, it all made sense to me,” Dr. Zhang said. “The video, Nutritional Immunology—A New Science, clearly explains the causes of diseases and the importance of our immune system, and how, by nourishing it with plant-based foods, we can fortify our body’s defenses. It all made sense—this business of feeding our immune system.”
Dr. Zhang decided to first try the Daily Nutrition Packs (DNP) and Millennium®. After a short period of time, he noticed his symptoms decreasing, and within six months, his condition had improved dramatically. “My own immune system was able to mitigate my problem without the help of conventional medicine or treatment from medical doctors. This personal experience in combination with my research findings sparked my full interest and faith in Nutritional Immunology.”
“In the beginning,” Dr. Zhang continues, “I was not interested in the business opportunity of E. Excel. I was merely interested in its products and Nutritional Immunology. After all, I had a good professional job and did not think the business was for me.”
However, over time he noticed the improvement in so many people’s overall health after taking E. Excel products. With his faith in the company further reinforced, he realized the power of E. Excel products.
Today, as a full-time E. Excel Independent Distributor, Dr. Zhang considers his life full and fulfilling. “This is not just a business of monetary gain, but a business of helping others and improving lives,” he said. “Nutritional Immunology helps ameliorate people’s lives. It opens up a new era in health and medical science, and that is why we are able to progress forward without hindrance. Dr. Zhang’s optimism and confidence in E. Excel and Nutritional Immunology continue to show as he counts all the great benefits his family has received so far. “Through E. Because of E. Excel, Dr. Zhang was able to go on vacations with his family to England, France, Japan, Hawaii and many Caribbean countries, for which he thanks E. Excel.
According to Dr. Zhang, he has no stress now, and most importantly, he is happy. “We do not just do the business to earn money,” he emphasizes. “We do more. Through E. Excel, we are able to help people who need to improve their health, and we are also able to help those who want to gain financial freedom, freedom of time and be a successful person. Thus, we give hope to those who feel hopeless.” With a successful group of Distributors working with him, Dr. Zhang is indeed grateful and appreciative.
“The truth is,” he says, “for me, E. Excel is not like any other business. It’s a career. A business is something that you stress over repeatedly every day trying to meet profits and so forth. You tend to get frustrated when you fail to sell more. On the other hand, a career is something you love, and because of that, your goals will be different and you will find it easier to feel successful every day in an environment that you love.”
Having said that, Dr. Zhang emphasizes that he would not have achieved so much without the constant support, encouragement and help from his Uplines, Diamond Ambassadors, Dr. Guo and his wife, Dr. Junxia Ji; his Downlines, Diamond Masters, Dr. Zhuo Chen and Dr. Mei Yu; Jade Masters, Aijun Zhang and Dr. Pingtian Cao; Jade Masters, Ning Peng and Mou Zhang; Diamond Masters, Jian Hua Niu and Dr. Liang Yu Huang; Jade Masters, Sam Qinghai Wu and Aiying Fan; Pearl Masters, Joy and Cecil Simon; Pearl Masters, Helen Hong Su and Dr. Shijie Wang, and the rest of his Distributors. Above all, he wants to dedicate his success to his wife, Jade Master, Dr. Zhuo Ming Lum, without whom, he could not have come so far.
Dr. Zhang’s list of people to thank could go on forever, for E. Excel is ultimately a career about people—a career in which the importance of human relationships and health takes center stage above all; an altruistic career, in which Dr. Zhang’s original goal, to help those whose lives were threatened, will ultimately be fulfilled.
