New Jade Master, Dorina Huang is a stickler when it comes to team work. To her, nurturing and caring for her Downlines takes priority in her business as an E. Excel Distributor. She understands very well the importance of being valued and appreciated.
“I have, for the longest time, struggled with the business,” Dorina says. “Success in direct marketing does not come without hard work and perseverance.” Dorina admits to considering giving up during a period of dejection and discouragement. In her heart, she felt that she shouldn’t give up so easily, and her turning point was a phone call from one of her customers.
“One of my customers called me one day just to thank me for introducing her to E. Excel and the products,” Dorina recalls. “My customer was so grateful and I realized that I had made a difference in her life by introducing her to E. Excel.” But just as important, Dorina also realized that this single act of appreciation motivated her even more to do the business. “Who would’ve known that a single ‘thank you’ could bring such a powerful and motivating effect,” she says.
Since then, Dorina has been concentrating her efforts on building a solid line of E. Excellers under her. “Teamwork is vital to the success of any business,” she says. “And in this business, my team is made up of wonderful, hard-working individuals.” Dorina believes in seizing every opportunity that comes her way to help them reach their business goals. “The key is to put people first,” she says.
When it comes to building a solid business, Dorina is adamant about appreciating her team’s contributions. She believes the performance of Distributors is contingent upon their leaders. The better the leader, the harder and more successful the Distributors will be.
“Most new Distributors quit halfway because they lack motivation, support and appreciation,” Dorina says. “And that’s why I’ve always emphasized in my training sessions the importance of recognition and rewarding Distributors for their efforts and contributions.”
Dorina recognizes her strength, which is to encourage. “I focus a lot on my strengths and pass it down to my Downlines,” she says. “I owe my success today to all of my Downlines, which is why I put them first in my business. I make sure that I am there for them at all times no matter the time of day, and that has made all the difference for me and the business.”
As a leader, Dorina understands fully the importance of her role. She is prepared to help anyone who comes her way, regardless of rank or team. She recalls a bad experience she had before joining E. Excel that taught her a valuable lesson about being a good leader and team player. “I used to be involved in a similar business,” Dorina says, “and whenever I had a question, I was always referred to my direct Upline even when he was not available. My questions went unanswered. I felt like I was
given the run-around, instead of the answers I needed.”
In a nutshell, Dorina’s philosophy in her business is to put her Downlines first, for they are ultimately the reason for her success. When asked, she is quick to point out her three of her many outstanding Distributors: Hannah Ng, Yee Lin Ho and Beverly Teng, without whom she wouldn’t have achieved so much. “They are ultimately the fuel to my success,” she stresses, “and I thank them for their hard work and examples, without which I wouldn’t have progressed as a leader and successful business person.”
“Try to be open to other people,” Dorina advises. “Reach out whenever you can. After all, we’re one huge E. Excel family, and we should support each other.”
