A century ago health and nutrition probably weren’t top priorities. Hard work and long days meant that most people were physically fit simply because of the lifestyle they led. And since most people ate what they grew in their gardens or raised on their farms, they were pretty healthy too!

Fast forward to today, and life is significantly different. Industrial and technological advances mean that, for many of us, manual labor is a thing of the past. Hectic work schedules, sedentary lifestyles, and stressful conditions mean we look for quick, fast, and convenient food choices—which often means sacrificing nutrition.

There has to be a better way.

Thirty years ago, Dr. Jau-Fei Chen, a Nutritional Immunology pioneer, decided to dedicate her life to educating people about the timeless message of Nutritional Immunology, a science based on the relationship between nutrition and the immune system. Dr. Chen knew that the most effective way to fight disease and sickness is to give our body, especially our immune system, the nutrition it needs. She taught people that a lifelong commitment to providing the body with the natural nutrition it needs could help fight disease, increase energy, and encourage longevity.

In addition to educating people about Nutritional Immunology, Dr. Chen determined to create products that provided the kind of nutrition she was talking about. She recognized that in today’s busy world, the only way some people would be able to obtain this essential nutrition was if it was available quickly, easily, and conveniently.

At the time, Nutritional Immunology was a relatively unknown science, and E. EXCEL products were different. They weren’t supplements. They didn’t contain trendy or popular ingredients. They didn’t promise overnight miracles or unbelievable results. Instead, these powerful products offered plant-based nutrition designed to strengthen the immune system and other body systems.

Today these pioneering principles have been proven to be true. It is widely accepted that plant foods should be the main component of a healthy diet. And a growing number of experts have come to realize that one of the most effective ways to fight disease is to provide the body with the nutrients it needs to do what it was made to do—keep us strong and healthy!

While we certainly have things a lot easier than those who lived 100 years ago, they definitely had the right idea about eating right. Thanks to Dr. Chen and E. EXCEL, however, we can enjoy Mother Nature’s timeless nutrition conveniently packaged for today’s hectic lifestyle.
