Showing our thankfulness through giving

As the holidays approach, it’s only natural to think of those things for which we are thankful. Thanksgiving came about after the fall harvest was in and people gave thanks for enough to make it through the coming winter. We carry on that tradition today in different but still very valid ways.

At E. EXCEL headquarters in Sandy, UT, our employees give thanks for a great year by helping to give back to those less fortunate. This month, E. EXCEL staff are gathering Thanksgiving dinner food items and grocery gift cards for turkey boxes that our local homeless shelter distributes to families living in supportive housing. Employees are also participating in a coat drive for the homeless shelter, collecting coats, hats, mittens, and scarves for those who face the coming winter—which can be quite harsh here in Utah—without a place to call their own.

But that’s not all. Every December, E. EXCEL participates in the Giving Tree project, which allows us to give gifts to children who otherwise would have nothing for the holidays. Our thankfulness for what we are able to give our own families is multiplied by our ability to provide joy for others as well.

In addition, we’ve supported our community’s children at the Sandy Elementary School throughout the year, and we’ve been grateful for the reception the children have given us in return! They send us pictures, artwork, and their thanks as well. We’ll bring the year to a close for them with enough pizzas to fill every tummy in a fantastic party just before their holiday break! They look forward to it all year—and so do we!

Living in North America, and being E. Excellers, we have so much to be thankful for—health, opportunity, the chance to live a richer life in the very ways that mean the most to us. Whether your richer life is prosperity, more time with family, developing friendships, travel, or more meaning in your life, you have the opportunity to find whatever you choose with E. EXCEL.
